What is Titanium?

Named after the Titans of Greek mythology, Titanium was discovered in Cornwall in the later 18th century.

It is a very strong and durable metal that is 40% lighter than steel.

It is usual for its properties to be enhanced by mixing with other metals to form different Titanium alloys.
