Why choose us for laser cutting services?

Our purpose built facility boasts two highly advanced lasers manufactured by leading names in the field Trumpf and Amada. Both of these lasers can be self-fed, which means that we have the ability to deliver laser cutting 24 hours a day, something which is vital when a client comes to us with a large order or one which needs turning round at speed.

Laser cutting is an essential tool in our facility using CO2 and Fibre Optic Lasers from renowned manufacturers Armada and Trumpf we can achieve cutting accuracies to +/- 0.1mm, with a repeatability factor of +/ 0.3mm. Cutting a range of metals steel, aluminium, brass and stainless steel, the laser enables us to create highly complex solutions without incurring extra tooling costs and to deliver results which are scratch and oxide-free and often require no further finishing.

Because we offer a complete in-house service, we’re able to provide bespoke laser cutting for clients who come to us with a completed plan, and also for those who arrive with little more than an initial concept. In the latter case, we provide expert CAD/CAM design facilities to turn that concept into a detailed plan which then forms the basis of the laser cutting process. Everything we produce in this way is accurate to +/- 0.1mm, with a repeatability factor of +/ 0.3mm.

The use of laser cutting enables us to create highly complex solutions without incurring extra tooling costs, and to deliver results which are scratch and oxide free and require no further finishing. If needed, we can also provide component marking such as part numbers to aid assembly after despatch. Whatever your laser cutting requirements are, get in touch with us today and we’ll explain exactly how we can deliver.

What is Laser Cutting?

In simple terms, laser cutting involves applying an intensely focused laser beam onto the surface of the material being cut, such as metal. The heat generated by the beam is such that the metal melts and vaporises instantly, producing an extremely fine cut with a smooth finish.
